ABOUT

June is an interdisciplinary artist born in 2003 and raised in Nicosia, Cyprus. Her work often draws deeply from personal memory and childhood, manifesting across a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, and primarily Time-Based media.

Having graduated from Minerva Art Academy at Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen, in 2026, June is now looking to bring her visual sensibility into the world of live performance and film.

The work entitled That child they call “me” is driven from the artist’s curiosity on the disassociation that occurs between the childhood self, and what can be understood of it from the adult self.

Through staged photographic scenes, masks, mirrors, fashion, and constructed bodies, The Gaze examines the tension between beauty and vulnerability, investigates what remains of identity once the performance begins to collapse.

Dream Big follows a creature living inside intrusive dreams and tangled family dynamics. Swollen eyes, yellowed teeth, distorted bodies, and grotesque masks make self-criticism and inner tension visible, forcing the audience to confront the unwanted, the taboo and what’s unsettling.
